Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Thursday forcefully condemned “self-deportation,” the policy of making life for undocumented immigrants so difficult that they voluntarily leave the United States.

“Using the word ‘self-deportation’ — it’s a horrific comment to make,” the RNC chairman reportedly said to Business Insider. “I don’t think it has anything to do with our party. When someone makes those comments, obviously, it’s racist.”

5:05 “CHRIS WALLACE: Could people like Bob Dole, even Ronald Reagan, could you make it in today’s Republican Party?
BOB DOLE: I doubt it. And Reagan couldn’t have made it.

GOP facepalm.

“We’re going to take this country back for the Lord. We’re going to try to take this country back for conservatism. And we’re not going to allow minorities to run roughshod over what you people believe in!”
